Does Wallet Hub Guarantee the Accuracy of Information?
Unfortunately we do not, and there is an excellent reason for this.
The reason is that Wallet Hub neither offers financial products and services nor is the front for a specific issuing institution or financial professional. Wallet Hub is an independent service that strives to provide each and every customer with the information they need to make the best financial decisions and save money. Another way to think of Wallet Hub is as a personal finance search engine/social network, and, in the same way that search engines do not guarantee the accuracy of search results, we do not guarantee the accuracy of the information presented through our website.
Now, it’s not in our interest to show information about products and services that is out-of-date or in error. If we present you with wrong and/or outdated information why would you bother using our website in the first place?
As a result, we work very hard to minimize any occurrences where our information is out-of-date or has errors of any kind. We want you to know, however, that at the end of the day we do not control this information, and it is not that we do not want to guarantee its accuracy, it is that it is just not possible. For example, a credit card company might make a change to its product terms a few minutes before you visit its website or, heaven forbid, an employee may make a mistake while entering data. Sometimes, we even find an error or omission on a financial company or professional’s website, in which case we promptly notify the respective party so that it can correct it.
It’s not all gloom and doom, though. You can still save a lot of time and money by using Wallet Hub prior to making important financial decisions. The alternative of visiting the website of every major bank, credit union, lender, insurance agency, attorney, financial professional, etc. and then comparing products and services across websites is not much fun!
