I am a senior in college and recently opened a checking account and credit card with
Chase. It was very easy to get started, and the employee I worked with was very competent
and capable of explaining all the features of my new accounts. Since Chase is a larger
bank, I felt very secure banking with them, and they are in many more locations than my
current hometown bank. Once I graduate, I plan on leaving my home bank in order to bank
exclusively with Chase. Since I have started banking with them, I have called multiple
times about credit options and such, and have always found them cheery and willing to
help. Their introductory 0% APR for 15 months has been useful, as this is my first credit
card. Anyone looking for a convenient way to bank should definitely look into Chase.
I have banked with Chase since I first opened a checking account and have always found it
a good place to be. I live in central Illinois and they have ATMs conveniently located
throughout the area. I almost never have a hard time finding one. Not only are they
convenient but the customer service has always been great. I recently had an accidental
charge that over-drafted my account and I was able to contact Chase and explain the
situation. They refunded the overdraft fee as well as the amount of the accidental charge
(after I explained it). Also I lost my debit card not long ago and they sent a new one out
to me quickly and without personal expense. My only complaint is the monthly service fees
but the reasoning for those are explained if you inquire and usually are dependent upon
how much money you have in your account.
Opened my first bank account ever with Chase when I was 18 years old, I knew nothing about
banking but I went ahead and tried it anyways. Filled out a five minute application and
got approved instantly, they were always so nice to me in their office. I had a problem
one time with overdrawing which was indeed my fault but still an accident, I explained to
them what had happened and they fixed it almost immediately. Saving me over $100 in
overdraft fees, I was very grateful because I am a college student and money is always
tight. Overall, Chase is just an amazing bank and I would recommend them to anyone looking
to get a checking and or savings account.
Chase has been wonderful for all of my banking needs. My family and I travel a lot during
the summer and winter seasons and there hasn't been a single place that we've traveled to
that hasn't had a Chase location nearby.
There is no hassle withdrawing from a different location as long as you have your info and
the bank tellers, in my experience, have always been very kind when dealing with me as a
customer.
I have had a Chase bank account for several years and opening it up was a very quick
process. It only took a few minutes to get my account activated and get my online bank
account set up so that I could monitor my funds to make sure I have enough wherever I'm
at.
The Chase Bank in my area is wonderful!! They are always willing to work on any problem
and find a quick and satisfying solution. I had someone charge my account a large amount
of money without my permission, I had never heard of this place before, but they refused
to return my money saying that I had ordered from them. So I went into Chase and the
manager called them herself, they were quickly agreeing to return my money. I am very
thankful to Chase, they have wonderful customer service, their internet banking is easy to
use, and I will always be a Chase customer.
I'm fairly new to banking with Chase, although my family has been banking there for years,
so I knew about them. Applying there was very simple and straightforward and they have a
great customer service. I have both a checking and saving account with them and the only
thing I have a slight problem with is the saving account which, unless you have a huge
amounts of money (which I don't), you're not going to get a great interest rate. Also, you
have to be careful about your overdraft charges, although I have called them about it and
they were extremely helpful with my transaction and questions.
Chase Bank has been very good to me over the years. Each time I go into the branch the
tellers are welcoming, polite and go out of their way to assist me. Since I had relocated,
I had switched this as my primary due to location.
I would give it five stars but I'm disappointed that it has started to charge a fee with
the checking account. Nonetheless, I make my minimum six transactions per month to avoid
those fees.
Finally, I highly recommend this bank as they have several products not only for
consumers, but for businesses as well.
I have had Chase banking for about 4 years now, I first got it when I turned 18 in order
to put away some money in the bank and save it up, or if I didn’t want to always carry a
bunch of cash on me. The fact that it is free checking is awesome, there are really no
fees, hidden or obvious. The fees are passed on to the institution who allows the card to
be used, which is like 10 cents per swipe or something miniscule. I have had no problems
with my account. ATM's are super fast, especially to some other companies where it takes 5
minutes to make a withdrawal or deposit and I can do it in 30 seconds. Good customer
service, always friendly, always helpful. They even have online customer support which is
handy. My only problem is that fact you can’t withdraw anything lower than $10 bills,
expect to have a lot of 20's. Overall awesome.
I opened with Chase while studying at UC Berkeley. Being a UC Berkeley student, it was
quite easy for me to open my account here. They gave me an extra $125 just for opening a
new account, which was nice, specially for a student moving to a new place. I liked the
idea - it made me a loyal customer. I never had any issues with them. The debit card was
accepted at all stores in the area, so I never had to worry. Once I lost my card, was easy
to report it and they took swift action to protect me from theft. I have since recommended
them to a bunch of friends who have enjoyed similar service. I would recommend to one and
all. If you really need a reason - open and get $125 for free for that exquisite date you
always wanted to take your gf to, and you'll love it!
I had multiple personal and business accounts with Chase. I tried using my debit card to
pay for a transaction at a restaurant knowing I had a significant balance. My card was
declined. When I called Chase I was given the run around and transferred to \"account
specialists\" in India then in Thailand. I grew very frustrated and asked to talk to an
American, they put me on the phone with a rude man and we argued for awhile. I awoke to an
alert that my account balance was negative 9 million dollars. When I called they told me
\"they were ending the relationship with me.\" I called my personal banker and they said
they would release my funds in 30 days. I grew irate with the banker and went to the
branch with the police because in essence they stole my money. They cashed me out, but
filed an order against me banning me from stepping foot on Chase property. I have never
seen such horrible customer service in my life, I was only looking for answers, but they
have the rights to do whatever they wish to do. They received the most bailout money and
they foreclose on homes left and right, they outsourced all of their telephone banking to
Asia. What a shitty company.
Recently my mortgage was moved to Chase Bank and although I was skeptical at first it
seems to be a good transition. I was previously with MetLife Home Loans and they had their
advantages but the system in which I had to pay my bills left something to be desired. Now
the transition had its hiccups, I could not sign up for bill pay through my checking
account for some odd reason however after talking with customer service they were able to
resolve this problem and the next day I was able to sign up. Ever since then things have
been super easy. My notifications come on time. I can see everything through the website.
There are no annoying separate windows that pop up when I need to pay a bill. The worst
thing I hated about the met life system was the fact that sometimes it would forget my
information and I would have to type in my routing and checking account number again. So
far there have been no worries about this happening. I definitively like Chase. I may even
get a checking account with them soon.
I become a Chase client back before JP Morgan bought it out. It was my first bank account
and definitely left a lasting impression. The bank manager--an elderly woman--was an
extreme stickler when it came to details. She walked me through the application process,
and always stopped to point out an error in her own communication. She even referred me to
a nice deal they had running where I could get 100 dollars for free. Overall I would say
that this was the best banking I had, and still have, experienced in my human existence.
Sadly, I had to leave this bank when I moved to Maryland.
I've been with Chase Bank for about 4 years and they have been wonderful. Any time there
has been a problem I go into my local branch and it gets resolved to my satisfaction. ATMs
are easy to use and don't require deposit slips - a big plus because who carries those
around with them all the time? I will say that I have found the customer service better at
branches than over the phone. Overall, Chase has been very fair with me, allows you time
to replenish your account if it's overdrawn and doesn't crush you with excessive fees to
bank there. I'm glad I joined them.
I have been with Chase for a few years now, and they continue to impress me over all the
other banks I've been with. I love that I don't have to worry about tons of fees with
them. We only have 1 direct deposit set up between me and my wife, and it covers the
direct deposit requirement across all our accounts. We also get free checks whenever we
run out of them, and other benefits like 1% back on our mortgage payment. The mobile app
has also been amazing for when my wife cashes her checks at home since she no longer needs
to go to the physical bank to do it. Out interest rates are good, but not amazing as
opposed to what some of the credit unions are offering. But the lower interest rate is
worth it for all the benefits I just listed.
Amazing bank for the New York area. To start, they're everywhere, which is one thing that
concerned me the most. I don't want to travel just to go to a bank. A Chase can be found
on almost every street corner practically. As for the bank themselves, I've been a
customer for many years, since my high school days and they've never steered me wrong.
Customer service was always quick and spot on, even their phone assistance was perfect.
They were also generous if you are a good customer, overturning small offenses such as
accidental overdrawns if it’s your first time. They're also helpful in various sectors,
helping me with both of my first two credit cards. My first having expired and them
guiding me to their Freedom card with a higher limit all while keeping me informed as to
every little detail of the card itself. Service for things such as losing your card is
stellar too, giving a new one instantly and offering delightful protection against fraud
and other unforseeables that could happen with a lost card.
I signed up for a Chase Slate Credit Card to help purchase a new vehicle. They let me
finance the car for 15 months with no interest so it made sense, especially because I
would have been charging the card regardless. It was easy to pay off the amount over these
15 months and the online banking made everything very easy. From here I opened a checking
account with Chase and everything was seamless. I can easily make payments from my
checking account to my credit card same day. Also I’ve been able to use the credit card
to make balance transfers at 0% APR!
I like banking with Chase. There are a lot of ATMs around my area. I also love the reward
system they have in their debit and the credit cards. I have 3 credit cards from Chase and
all are excellent card for different reasons. I always had a good customer service
experience with this bank. Once I saw transactions that I did not do in my statement. When
I called the customer service, they immediately cancelled the charges, cancelled my
current card number and sent me a new card. They also sometimes have certain cash offer to
open checking and savings account. I got $100 just for opening the account back in 2009. I
always had a great experience with Chase Bank.
I would highly recommend this bank to others. The employees are very nice and extremely
helpful. Whenever I have had a problem or just did not understand something with my
account someone was always there willing to help. One of the best features is the
overdrawn protection.
I had not made it to the bank to deposit my check in time and I had bills that
automatically withdraw money from your account. I thought I had another day before the
phone bill came out. I was mistaken, they pulled out the money and left me in a negative.
I was upset because that meant I had to pay the overdraft fee. I contacted the bank and
they told me I am protected and that there will be no extra charge. I was so relieved and
thanked them over and over. This bank is one of the best I have used.
I started banking with Chase when Wachovia went under, and at first I wasn't sure to
expect. But the service I have received since then has completely sold me, and now I'm a
Chase customer for life! I have a college student account, which is fantastic because it
has no crazy fees associated with it. I love being able to Quickpay money into my families
accounts at the drop of a hat, and the fact there are so many locations available makes it
super convenient to withdraw or deposit cash. I would highly recommend Chase to those
looking for a reliable bank!
I have banked with Chase for years. I have both a checking and savings account with them.
My checking account is a Chase College account, which is a great service that I would
recommend to any college student.
Every time I go into any Chase bank in town they are always courteous and friendly. My
last experience was especially pleasant. Everyone went above and beyond to help me out! I
had to change some of my information and it took no time at all, which is great when
you're busy like I am. I have yet to have a bad experience dealing with Chase bank and I
will definitely stick with this bank!
I have a business account with Chase, both a checking account and a credit card account.
Every time I go to the branch location, I'm greeted promptly and never wait in line for
more than 2-3 minutes. Most times I'm helped immediately though. Getting everything set up
was relatively painless. We got our debit and credit cards within just a few days of
signing up. We also got starter checks to use immediately while we waited for our ordered
ones. Our business banker is usually quick to answer questions and the manager helps when
he's not available. All in all, I'd say they do a good job, although I haven't had any
tough issues for them to handle.
When I was in New York for college, my friends and I all used Chase as our go-to checking
and savings bank for all our needs. Chase was perfect for us because it has so many
branches within NYC that it was easy to withdraw money at anytime without any huge
surcharge from an ATM or some other bank branch. Chase helped us with any problem we had,
and was honestly one of the best banks I've ever dealt with in my life. My time with Chase
was very enjoyable, and me and my friends recommend Chase to any college student living in
the city.
Chase is a great bank! I often get emails about the debit card cash back deals that they
have and I use it all the time. Before, I have used my debit card to redeem 5% cash back
at California Pizza Kitchen and Macaroni Grill. I do not even have to enroll for the cash
back program, all I do is use my debit card. Chase Bank also offers cash back programs for
numerous online retailers. I have used my debit card to get cash back at Sunglass Hut.
Whenever I go to the Chase banks, the tellers are very friendly and helpful.
Chase has numerous branches all over Southern California. This is very helpful for me as I
never have to worry about finding a Chase ATM. The locations are easily accessible and
easy to find with their Chase App. Overall, Chase is a great bank!
Chase bought out Washington Mutual, that I had an online checking account with at the
time. Once my account converted to a Chase checking, I got to enjoy the great features of
no monthly fees and absolutely free checks. The only downfall that I had was that at that
time there were no nearby branches, so the ATM fees were $4 at least ($2 to Chase & $2 to
the ATM owner.) I usually chose to get cash back, but there were a few times, when I had
to use an ATM not affiliated with Chase. Ultimately the lack of a local branch led me to
switch to a local bank, but I cannot say that I was unsatisfied overall with my experience
while banking with Chase.
I remember when there were other banks and Chase bought them. I was a Washington Mutual
customer. Then Chase took over. The only good experience I had with them was, it was easy
opening a second checking account with them online. The main problem I had with them was,
I owed them money on two credit cards. I went bankrupt in April 2010. All my debt was
discharged in BK. However, I still had one checking account with them. In January on 2011,
they transferred out all the money from my checking account. I spoke to Chase and was told
it was to payback the credit card debt I owed them. I informed them it was discharged in
BK. After faxing a number of documents and being insulted by their employees. They finally
put the money back in my account. The money was gone for 5 days. They made it appear it
was gone for only 2 days. Then two weeks later, they did it again. This time to pay off
the money I owed for the second credit card I had with them. After another fight and 5
more days, that money was put back. I then sued them for violating the Fair Credit Act. I
won and will never have anything to do with that bank again.
Well I've had a Chase Checking account for about 2 years now and so far so good. Checking
is very easy with them, they have one of the best online services I've experienced so far,
and customer service is usually very helpful and great. Adding a secondary account holder
was an easy process and getting the extra cards were easy as well. The only thing I didn't
enjoy about this bank was the constant $10 they kept charging me every month even though I
had met the requirements for no fees. I went into a branch to talk to someone about it and
they gave me some confusing policy where a bunch of requirements had to be met in the
month. Well, the solution was easy but I wish I had known about it when I signed up so
they didn't charge me about a year's worth of fees. Living in the NYC metropolitan area,
finding a Chase bank is just about as easy as hailing a cab or finding a hot dog cart.
It's great for convenience.
I feel so comfortable to be with Chase. Many people believe that it is the best bank in
the United States. The most important aspect of Chase is its being trustworthy and stable.
A lot of big organizations have their money in it, such as MTA in NY. No doubt, Chase
branches and ATM machines are everywhere, you can find them easily, easier than finding
the machines and branches of the other banks. A good aspect of chase is that it has a very
good website, from which you can manage your checking, saving or credit card account
easily. It is very user-friendly. I use it to monitor my checking account and make
transfers in addition to paying my bills in a very smooth way. Customer service there is
great and the staff is very decent. They are well trained on fast problem resolution. I
like everything about Chase and always invite my friends to enroll in it.
Chase has been nothing but awesome since I joined them. I started with a student account
at I am still with them. The customer service at the branches I have been to has been
nothing short of amazing, they are always willing to help. I use their direct deposit and
I have never had any problems with it. The online banking app is fantastic and easy to
use. They have been helpful in getting me the necessary loans for my car and we are
currently working on securing me a credit card so I can build my credit history further. I
plan on staying with them for the long run.
I have my checking account with Chase for the last 6 years and they do an exceptional job
in handling my money. I have checking account and also credit cards with Chase bank. I
also have other BOFA account and I can easily transfer money from Chase through online. I
found it very convenient. One of the first banks to introduce mobile deposits and I think
they are always in the forefront of using modern technologies. The only issue that I have
seen recently is more down time of their website. Other than that, everything is easy to
use at chase.com.
I started banking with Chase in 2008 when I moved out of state and my regular bank was not
local to my new state. I went in and got set up quickly and even to this day, I remember
the gentleman who helped me was extremely kind, quick, and efficient. He made sure I
understood how everything worked and got me set up with a temporary card that day! He even
put a rush on my new debit card, since I really needed one immediately. I got the card two
days later in the mail and was on my way! Every time I went in to cash a check or withdraw
money, the employees were friendly and personable and thanked me for my business. I never
had any issues with them, and even later opened up a credit card because I was so pleased
with the experience.
Chase has always been courteous and responsive whenever I had a problem. Branches are
always clean with smiling faces ready to help you. I have been with Chase for 5 years now
and have only once had a problem. Several online transactions that I had not made were
processed through my account. I called and reported it, the charges were reversed
immediately and I have had no problems since. Their online access is easy to understand
and allows you to access your account 24 hours a day. Rather you need to make a transfer,
pay a bill or check you records, it’s all online and ready when you are. If you are
considering opening an account please consider Chase banking!
Chase has been really good to us for a variety of reasons. When me and my husband signed
up we came in with a promotional offer for $350 for signing up for a checking and savings
account. The guy that signed us up let us know that that promo was per person, and my
husband could add a checking account for himself and get another $200 sign up bonus, he
didn't have to do this for us, and we walked out that day getting more money than we
expected simply for signing up. Other than that, their accounts are really simple with no
hidden fees. Only one of us had to have direct deposit set up with one account to get free
checking on all our accounts. Other banks wanted a direct deposit from both of us. The
reason we even went to Chase in the first place is because they have the mobile check
cashing app, and with me getting paid in checks I was simply tired of going to the bank
every other week. So the fact that I didn't need to have direct deposit as well was a huge
bonus.
I've had my Chase account for 4 years now. I opened my account as a student and received
excellent rates. As a student I was entitled to overdraft protection and no minimum
account balance. This was extremely helpful when I was a student because I didn't have
much of a cash flow at the time. As a bonus when I opened my account they matched my first
deposit. This was such an excellent incentive that I wish that still had! I have watched
their ATMS change over the past few years. They updated their ATMS to deposit checks
directly into their machines and print a copy of the check you deposited. I can also use
my iphone to deposit checks into my account in as little as a few minutes. Their customer
service is excellent! There was a fellow who had helped me set up my bank account and
later became friends with me. He was able to help my partner and I get a mortgage for our
new home. He was so helpful that he would even take trips to visit us with updates at our
work. I absolutely love Chase bank and have had such a great experience with them. The
only thing that I wish was different is that they had more branches throughout the
country. I travel to Rhode Island frequently and have yet to see a Chase bank nearby.
Chase bank has been very good to me, but I definitely don't know if I would be with them
if I had a choice. I had some credit issues and I needed to open a new account for a job.
I was very glad that Chase took a chance on me, but their service sucks. They charge a fee
for every account I have with them and there are no perks for the most basic accounts. It
is like those banks you see on the commercial where they are those super corporate giants
and you feel like the tiny tiny little guy. It is like that, I don't feel like a valued
customer and just another number.
Chase has been a fantastic bank for me. I love their mobile app through which I usually
access my accounts. I have a checking, savings, and credit card with them. My favorite
feature is probably the mobile deposit. I can take pictures of a check, and literally
deposit it right there from my phone! It's incredible. Making a deposit becomes so easy!
They're also really helpful with direct deposit. I pretty much never have to physically go
to a location! Their customer service is also fantastic. I've never had any problems. It
can be a bit of a hassle actually getting someone on the phone, but once you do, it's
smooth sailing. I'll definitely be a customer for life!
I have been banking with Chase for the previous four years, and while I don't have a
credit card with them, I do have a checking and savings account. They have always been
extremely helpful when I have a problem, with the exception of when I was travelling
overseas. While in Costa Rica, I lost my debit card and while I was able to cancel my card
while there, I was not able to find an affiliate of Chase or access my money in order to
get home. This created a big problem and I would hope that Chase would partner with more
international banks to avoid this for travelling customers in the future. With that being
said, my experience with Chase in the US has been stellar, and I have really enjoyed being
a customer of theirs these past years.
The Chase branch I bank at is the one on Wilshire Blvd. and Yale in Santa Monica, CA.
Everything about opening the account was easy, and took less than a half hour in total. It
has been about a year, and I am very, very pleased with the bank's service, product
availability, and the number of locations that exist. For example, anytime I want to
withdraw money, I can be almost anywhere in the country, and there's a Chase ATM within
about 10 miles of where I am. I believe the only place where it's difficult to find a
Chase bank is in the South. I know that all over the West coast, and east coast, they
exist. I'm very happy to be a customer there!
Where do I start with how bad these guys are? First, whenever I entered the branch they
would try to sell me a loan or an 'upgrade.' I had to fight off the sales tactics every
time I went there. Then the fees. It got so expensive to just have a checking account
there; one fee after another with no end in sight. I finally sat down with the branch
manager and asked what they could do to lower my fees. Basically, nothing, he said, then
he tried to sell me more loans and 'services' for even more fees. Bye-bye Chase, hello
credit union. I have switched and will not look back. So long, Chase.
I have been with Chase Bank for over 12 years and it’s been mostly a great experience. I
love the many branches available close to where I live. When I travel around the country,
I never have a problem finding a local Chase branch or a store with the branch ATM. I have
a savings, checking, auto loan and credit cards through Chase. I have not had a single
issue with any of the services. Though I wish the savings account would have a higher
return, what they offer is standard to the industry. I have been recommending Chase to all
my friends and colleagues who are looking for a different banking institution. I love
banking with them and will continue banking with Chase in the foreseeable future.
The option to deposit checks over the app with Chase is so convenient. No more trips to
the ATM! I can also use the app to transfer funds between my checking and savings account
instantaneously. Their online interface is also great and I can view my checking, savings
and student loan accounts all on one screen. If I ever have a question about one of my
accounts, I contact them via the online secure message system and they get back to me
within a day. I feel safe knowing that wherever I go in this country, there is usually a
Chase and I won't have to pay ATM fees somewhere else. Banking at Chase is convenient for
people who don't have a lot of time to spend and don’t want to waste it at the bank.
I absolutely love Chase bank. I have been using Chase bank ever since I got out of college
and moved to NYC. They were very personal with me when I opened up my checking, savings,
and business account. They explained that I should use my business account for all my work
expenses since I was a real estate agent and that it would be great for taxes and for my
accountant come tax season. During my 5 years with them, I have never had one problem. I
had my identity stolen once and they were very accommodating and took care of everything
immediately. Another plus is that Chase banks are literally everywhere and I have yet to
find a branch that I didn't like. Definitely the best bank out there. I recommend it
highly.
I have been a Chase customer for over 20 years. Through that time period, I have used the
Chase personal and business banking services, including checking and savings. Overall, I
have been highly satisfied with my experiences at Chase. When I have had account related
problems, I have always had the issue resolved promptly and to my satisfaction either
through a personal banker at a branch or through telephone customer service. In this day
and age, this is not a small accomplishment. I cannot even count the number of times I
have needed customer service assistance at other companies only to end up completely
frustrated and my problem remained unresolved. Chase offers a good array of different
types of checking services, both for personal and business accounts. As I mentioned, I
deal with specific bankers at Chase. The local branch assigns to me a personal banker and
a business banker, which is a great resource on many different levels. I have recommended
Chase many times to family members, friends and professional and business colleagues. I
will continue to do so into the future.
I had Chase for many years (since I was about 16), before I made the switch to SAFE. Over
the years of having Chase, I didn't have too much of a problem. It was always easy to
deposit/withdrawal money, but I eventually switched due to some hidden fees I didn't know
about that I found when I did some money management (like maintaining a minimum balance,
and if you fall below that balance, you get tacked on a fee...), and the overall feel of
the bank. Granted, Chase did what they were supposed to do....it was your bank, nothing
more. Customer service was there, but there wasn't a nice, warm feeling when you walked
into your bank. Overall, they are a good bank. I never had any real big problems with
them, but they’re kind of like your first car...you still love it, but eventually
upgrade to something better.
To be perfectly honest, I think almost every college student is suckered into credit cards
one way or another, be it free pizza, a rad t shirt, a frisbee, or one of the many inanely
obnoxious mail stuffers that overwhelms us during this period of extreme growth.
Nonetheless, I was suckered into a Chase credit card by a rep who bought me pizza. So I
signed up, used it for a month, decided I didn't really need a credit card and cancelled
it. I didn't have any real problems, but I'm leaving 3 stars because of the sleaziness of
their marketing tactics.
Chase bank is honestly one of the best banks in the country. I have used Chase since I was
a 17 year old college student and I have had nothing but positive experiences. I first had
a Chase checking account and never experienced any fees or issues with this account. If
you are in college, you can have a balance of a penny and still not be charged a fee!
Recently, I have opened up a business account with Chase and it has been wonderful. I have
been earning many rewards with my credit cards which helped me finance my business.
Everything has been smooth in general with my business checking account.
I recently applied for the Chase Sapphire card after nearly 7 years of being a client with
checking and savings accounts. I walked into a local branch and received great customer
service from their bankers. However, the application process was a little tedious since
they told me that they couldn't approve my application right away due to the fact that I
was living in another city at the time and that they needed to “verify my identity”
first. I understand that this is for security purposes, but it took nearly 2 weeks of me
sending my driver's license over and calling their customer service line to finally get
approved.
Since then, I have come across one incident where there was a fraudulent transaction on my
card. Chase was very prompt in canceling out the transaction and issuing me a new card the
next day. I appreciate their customer service and loyalty to their customers.
The customer service wasn't really all that great; the teller I dealt with was more
interested in talking to her colleague about gossip in front of me rather than deal with
the transaction. This is very unprofessional for a bank. However, that was the only major
negative issue I dealt with from time to time at the branch I go to. Otherwise, it was
easy to get my account there, and I got my bank card within a week of being approved.
They've handled easily any questions and issues I've had without skirting around any
issues. I can safely suggest using Chase bank if there's one in your area.
What drew me to Chase Bank was the opportunity to get $200 just for opening a checking
account. I needed a local bank, and this sealed the deal. Although the $200 offer may be
gone, it isn't difficult to find bonuses for opening an account with Chase. What also made
me want to use Chase was the high density of branches and ATMs in the area. I never have a
problem getting cash through Chase. I also love being able to deposit checks with just
their smartphone app. It is super simple. So far, there have been zero problems. I'd
highly recommend a Chase checking account, especially if you can get a decent bonus for
opening one.
The best thing about Chase is that it's so convenient. I love the mobile app that lets me
deposit checks the same day that I get them! But even if I had to go to a physical bank,
they are everywhere, so it's not difficult to find one. For students there is no monthly
fee for checking and savings which is great. The customer service is awesome although the
website can be kind of hard to navigate. They send me texts about any purchases that seem
suspicious and I can approve or deny the payment going through. The only complaint I have
is that it gets expensive to move money from your savings account into your checking
account too often. Otherwise everything is great and I plan to continue banking here for a
long time.
I got my Chase account several years ago and I have very few problems. Here, where I live,
the workers are so nice. They explain exactly what is going on with my account and help me
clear up problems. Every time I call about a problem, whoever answers the phone is nice
and helpful. One time my bank card would not work at my neighborhood grocery store, I
called the number on the back of my card and was told that there was no reason that my
account was fine and the credit system for the store chain was at fault. I left and went
to another store and had no problems. Recently, I got a text message from Chase that my
account was overdrawn. I looked at my account and I had a charge at Amazon for something I
had not ordered. I sent a message to Chase from my online account. I got a message back
giving me the number to Amazon. I called Amazon and they started a refund. I asked Chase
if I would get an overdraft charge and they said since I was not at fault, there would not
be a charge. I have no desire to change banks. I will stay with Chase.
