There are two credit cards with 0% APR for 21 months: Citi Diamond Preferred and Citi Simplicity. Both Citi credit cards offer 0% for 21 months on both purchases and balance transfers. And neither charges an annual fee. They’re nearly identical in most other respects, too. The main difference is that Citi Simplicity could have a slightly higher regular APR. Neither card’s regular APR is likely to be too low, though. So it’s best to pay off your balance before these credit cards’ 0% APRs expire in 21 months.
Here’s how the credit cards with 0 APR for 21 months compare:
Citi Simplicity: 0% for 21 months on purchases and on balance transfers. No annual fee and no late fees. 3% balance transfer fee, 3% foreign transaction fee, 5% cash advance fee. No rewards offered. Requires good credit.
Citi Diamond Preferred: 0% for 21 months on purchases and on balance transfers. No annual fee, max late fee of $35. 3% balance transfer fee, 3% foreign transaction fee, 5% cash advance fee. No rewards offered. Provides 24/7 concierge service. Requires good credit.
Both cards also offer other perks like rental car insurance, so in most respects they’re identical. The only major difference is Citi Simplicity’s lack of late fees, which could be good if you’re worried about missing a payment in the future. Citi Diamond Preferred has a concierge service that can help give you advice on purchases, make reservations, and so on, but it’s really not that impressive of a service. Both cards provide the longest 0% APR period on the market, though, so either is a great option.
