In giving your question some thought, I think there are two areas you need to check. The first and most important is to go back to the separation/divorce agreement and find out whether in fact the agreement allows for a change if your husband's compensation changes over the years. My own experience leads me to think that if it's just a normal raise the answer may be no but again, this is just an opinion. The second issue is to check with state law and see if the state allows for a change in alimony and/or child support. I was recently involved in a case where the state can come in during the first six years and make some changes. Other than that I have no other details. Finally, I think you should address this question for the attorney who helped you through the divorce. She/he should be extremely familiar with your local laws and state law of your state of residency and may be able to help with nothing more than a phone call. Good luck
