To revoke a revocable trust, you simply have to write a letter to the existing trustee or trustees indicating that you want to revoke the trust as of a given date. With this formality complete, the trust will terminate. Please don't forget that if you funded the trust with assets like your home, an investment account or other assets, they should be transferred out of the trust in a formal fashion prior to its revocation.
