The new generation is spending more on education in general. This could be due to a number of reasons. Primarily, the costs of education have seen a huge increase in the past 2 decades, and are continually rising. Furthermore, it is more and more prevalent to have post secondary education, which means consumers as a whole are spending more on education by virtue of more people attending.
