Direct Express doesn't make routing numbers publicly available for their cards.

You will be assigned an account number and Comerica Bank (the card’s issuer) does have a routing number, but you won’t need it.

You just need to sign up and activate your card. Comerica Bank will then notify the Social Security Administration that you have a Direct Express account and your benefits will automatically be loaded to the account moving forward.

The COMERICA/DIRECTEXPRESS ROUTING NUMBER IS 072000096. YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER IS YOUR DIRECT EXPRESS DEBIT CARD NUMBER. I FOUND THE ROUTING NUMBER ONLINE UNDER DIRECT EXPRESS FIRST THEN ONLINE INFO ABOUT COMERICA ROUTING. I HAD GOOGLED “DOES SSA USE ANYONE ELSE BESIDE DIRECT EXPRESS.” GOOD LUCK TO US ALL !
