Yes, Chase gives new checking customers a $200 bonus after a customer opens a Chase Total Checking account with a promotional coupon code, then completes a direct deposit within 90 days of opening the account. Direct deposits must be an electronic transfer of an employment paycheck, retirement check, or government benefits.
Chase will automatically apply the $200 checking coupon code when you click “Open an account” online. Or, you can request the code by e-mail, then apply it manually after opening your account. Once you meet the direct deposit requirements, Chase will deposit the $200 bonus into the new account within 15 days.
Bear in mind that Chase does not give the $200 bonus to existing Chase checking customers, or anyone who has received a Chase checking account bonus in the last two years. You’re also not eligible if you’ve closed a Chase checking account in the previous 90 days, or closed a Chase checking account with a negative balance within the last three years. Similarly, Chase will deduct the $200 bonus amount from any account that’s closed, for any reason, within six months of account opening.
