You can run out of money on your Walmart MoneyCard (at which time you have to refill it) but not really overdraft it.

If you do it would either decline the card or it may go what would be overdraft but you just wouldn’t be able to use the card till you add more money to it.

WalMart Money card has overdraft protection now... Depending on your Direct Deposit History.

Hi, Please note, your Walmart MoneyCard will not allow you or any merchant to collect funds that aren't present in you available balance. If your account does not hold the funds necessary to complete the requested order/payment, that order/payment will not process. The only exception to our "No Overdraft policy" is the Monthly Maintenance fee. This fee will process whether the funds are available or not, and is the only thing that can cause a negative balance.
