I seriously wish I had never opted for the tax refund advance through turbotax this year! It has been an absolute nightmare!! I only went for it because times have been rough and really needed some cash asap! I received my advance and the remaining funds without any problems. The nightmare began when I had some orders cancelled through door dash because of a massive snow storm we had here in WY and a few orders from grocery stores that door dash delivered to me where some of the items were out of stock. In total I am due $77.46 in refunds. Door dash has processed the cancellations and sent the funds back to be credited to my card. Turbo card says they have a 3-5 business day window to process refunds but one of them was from back in FEBRUARY and have yet to see a single penny! I was given the runaround for over a week by turbo card's so-called customer service, keeping me on hold for 2 hours with the "dispute department." One rep gave me a case number and said it would take 2 MORE business days for them to make a decision and I would get a response by either email or phone. After waiting THREE business days with no response I called back yet again and gave my case number to the rep who told me that "There were no funds found to be missing from my account and my case was closed! I told the rep this wasn't about any missing funds but refunds due to me that had not yet been credited to my card and told her that I demanded this issue be resolved immediately or I was going to pursue legal action at which point I was hung up on!! I will begin my pursuit of legal action on Monday!! This is the most atrocious customer service I've EVER received and I intend to make sure I get every penny I have due me no matter how long it takes!
If the transaction is posted and then a refund processed, it generally takes 3-5 business days, but it depends on the retailers refund processing process. If the transaction was approved and pending, but the merchant won't collect it, it takes 10 days for the transaction to go back to your account(longer if it's a hotel or car rental).
