There is no way to know for sure if there is any American Airlines inflight credit card offer beforehand. Sometimes, customers that apply for one of the AAdvantage Aviator credit cards during an American Airlines flight may get extra miles, but it is not guaranteed.
So, if there is an inflight offer when you apply for the American Airlines AAdvantage® Aviator™ Red Credit Card, for example, you would get extra miles in addition to the initial bonus offered with the card. The American Airlines Aviator Red Card’s bonus is now 50,000 miles after making the first purchase within the first 90 days and paying the annual fee.
What you should know about American Airlines inflight credit card offers:
American Airlines AAdvantage credit cards are issued by Barclays and Citibank. But you’ll only hear about the Barclays credit cards while onboard an American Airlines flight. That’s because Barclays reserves the right to pitch their cards inflight, whereas Citibank can only pitch their credit cards in American Airlines’ Admirals Club airport lounges.
