The Blue Cash Everyday rental car insurance covers damage to or theft of a rental vehicle up to $50,000. To receive the rental car insurance, you must pay for the rental using your Blue Cash Everyday card and reject the insurance offered by the rental agency.
For U.S. rentals, the coverage is secondary, meaning you will need to file a claim through your primary insurance carrier first, if you have one. If you’re renting a vehicle internationally, coverage under the Amex Blue Cash Everyday card rental car insurance benefit is primary. Coverage in both cases applies to rentals of up to 30 days.
To file an Amex Blue Cash Everyday rental car insurance claim, call the Benefit Administrator at 1-800-338-1670 or visit the card’s benefits website to get a claim form. You will need to submit the claim form no later than 60 days after the incident.
