Your Amex EveryDay card approval odds are decent if you have a 700+ credit score. This means that you need at least good credit for high chances of approval.
It’s worth noting, though, that American Express lets you check for pre-approved offers on their website. Pre-approval means a strong chance of a successful application, and checking won’t hurt your credit score.

Just got approved with 687, so give it a go if you're close to that.

Sorry to break it to you, but it's higly unlikely you'll get approved for it.
Everyday's got a 700 requirement, so with 591 you most likely will be rejected and just add a new hard inquiry on your file, lowering your score further.
If you're focused on rebuilding your credit, I'd say go for a secured card: they rarely turn people down, and you can build your score just fine with them.

Good if you have a score over 700ish. The thing is the better your score, the higher your credit limit. Make sure to check your credit score in advance before applying. Good luck!
