The Amex EveryDay signup bonus is pretty straightforward. You spend $1,000 in the first 3 months your account is open, and you get 10,000 bonus points, delivered within 8-12 weeks of hitting that spending threshold. That Amex EveryDay signup bonus is worth up to $100, depending on how you redeem. You might even be able to get 25,000 points, worth up to $250, if Amex targets you for a special limited time offer when you visit the website. But whichever bonus Amex offers you, the amount you have to spend is the same.
The Amex EveryDay signup bonus is easy money if you plan to spend at least $1,000 in three months anyway. Just make sure you don’t have any past due bills when you hit the spending requirement. If you do, Amex might not give you your bonus points.
The Amex EveryDay Credit Card from American Express isn’t the only everyday Amex on the market, though. And the other options offer signup bonuses, too. So let’s see how they compare.
Here are the Amex EveryDay signup bonuses:
- Amex EveryDay Credit Card from American Express: 10,000 points for spending $1,000 in 3 months. No annual fee.
- Amex EveryDay Preferred Credit Card: 15,000 points for spending $1,000 in 3 months. $95 annual fee.
- Blue Cash Everyday Card from American Express: $100 statement credit for spending $1,000 in 6 months. No annual fee.
All three cards require good or excellent credit. All three also offer much more than just a signup bonus. For example, the main Amex EveryDay Card will give you two points per dollar on the first $6,000 you spend at supermarkets each year, and one point per dollar everywhere else. And if you make 20 purchases in a billing cycle, Amex will give you 20% more points.
The last Amex EveryDay signup bonus facts to keep in mind are: 1) authorized users can help you earn your bonus, 2) but you only get one bonus per account, and 3) only purchases count toward the bonus, not fees, cash advances, taxes or pre-paid cards.

The signup bonus is 10,000 points if you spend more than a grand within the first 3 months. That, coupled with the double amount of points for supermarkets, and the 20 purchases per month bonus means it's for people that shop often, and want to get something sweet out of it. To be honest, I broke that first 1,000 within the first 3 weeks.
