You can apply for the Chase Freedom Unlimited card online or by submitting a written application at a Chase Bank branch. You can't apply for a Chase Freedom Unlimited card over the phone.
To apply for Chase Freedom Unlimited online, you'll have to supply Chase with your name and address, date of birth, income and employment information, contact details, and Social Security Number (SSN). In most cases, you’ll get a decision instantly, but it could take up to 30 days to receive a decision letter by mail.
Having that said, you can always check your application status by logging into the account you created when you applied. Simply click on the options menu (3 horizontal lines) in the upper left corner, then click on “Application status.” There, you can see all your pending Chase credit card applications and their statuses.
Ultimately, if your application is rejected, Chase will tell you why in the letter they send you. If you were rejected but you feel you qualify for the card, call the reconsideration line at (888) 270-2127 and state your case to a representative.
