You can apply for the Chase Freedom Unlimited card online or in person at a Chase Bank branch. You can't apply for a Chase Freedom Unlimited card over the phone.
Here’s how to apply for the Chase Freedom Unlimited card:
- Online: To apply for Chase Freedom Unlimited online, you'll have to supply Chase with your personal and financial information, and your Social Security Number (SSN). In most cases, you’ll get a decision instantly, but it could take up to 30 days to receive a decision letter by mail.
- In person: You can also submit a Chase Freedom Unlimited application at a Chase branch location during normal business hours.
Keep in mind that you can always check your application status over the phone at (800) 945-2000. It should only take a few minutes to find out whether your Chase Freedom Unlimited application is approved, denied, or pending. There is no option to check the status of your application online.
Ultimately, if your application is rejected, Chase will tell you the reason(s) in the letter they send you. If you were rejected but you feel you qualify for the card, call the reconsideration line at (888) 270-2127 and state your case to a representative.
