There is no Bank of America credit card referral bonus right now. In the past, Bank of America gave a $50 referral bonus for every person you referred who was approved for the BankAmericard Cash Rewards card. But that offer is no longer available.
There was also a Bank of America referral bonus for checking accounts. If you had a BofA checking account and got a friend to sign up for one too, you could get $25 per person and up to $250 total. That promotion expired August 31, 2018.
It’s possible there could be more Bank of America referral bonuses in the future. But in the meantime, there are a few issuers that do currently offer credit card referral bonuses.
Credit Card Referral Bonuses: Bank of America & More
Bank of America: No credit card referral bonus currently offered.
Chase: $100+ referral bonus per person (up to $500+ per year) with seven different cards, including Freedom Unlimited and Sapphire Preferred.
Discover: $50 referral bonus per person (up to $500 per year) with all Discover it cards except Discover it Secured.
American Express: $75+ referral bonus per person with more than 15 cards.
If you have a lot of friends and family members with good enough credit to get approved for the cards you have, it’s possible to make a few hundred dollars each year just from referral bonuses. But unfortunately, you’re not going to have any luck finding a Bank of America credit card referral right now.
BofA does have a history of offering referral bonuses, though. So be sure to keep your eye out for any emailed offers or notices when you log in to your online account.
