Yes. The Bank of America Travel Rewards credit card is a chip-and-PIN credit card. To request a PIN for your Bank of America Travel Rewards credit card, log into your Bank of America account online, navigate to the account settings page, select “Create or Change PIN,” and follow the steps from there. Alternatively, call the number on the back of your card to get assistance from a customer service representative.
Even though the Bank of America Travel Rewards credit card has the chip-and-PIN feature, cardholders may still be asked for a signature instead of a PIN when they use the card to make many purchases. Having chip-and-PIN technology can certainly come in handy in some situations, though. For example, chip-and-signature cards might not work at unattended kiosks abroad, but a chip-and-PIN card will.

Bank of America Travel Rewards credit card does use chip-and-PIN technology, which provides an additional layer of security and makes it easier to spend money abroad. In fact, all Bank of America credit cards are chip-and-PIN-enabled. Just note that the technology may help reduce certain types of fraud that can result from third-party or merchant compromise, but it will not prevent a compromise. If you notice any suspicious activity, call the number on the back of your card.
