BankAmericard approval time can take as little as a few seconds if you apply online. If you don't get an immediate decision, the approval time typically runs between 7 to 10 business days. Once approved, you will receive your new card in the mail. Bank of America does not issue instant card numbers, but you can request expedited shipping. The card will arrive within 72 hours and there’s no charge for the service.

If your application is denied, you can request reconsideration. Call the Bank of America reconsideration line at 1 (866) 224-8555. This allows you an opportunity to discuss your situation and make your case as to why your application should be approved.
