Coverage Amount. Coverage is for the actual repair amount, wholesale market value or the rental agency’s purchase invoice, less salvage and depreciation, up to a pre-determined amount.
File Claims for Rentals Through Primary Insurance First. The Barclaycard Arrival Plus card rental car insurance benefit provides secondary coverage for domestic rentals up to 15 consecutive days, so you will need to file a claim through your primary insurance carrier first, if you have one. If you have no other insurance or your insurance does not cover you in territories outside the U.S., coverage is considered primary.
Coverage For Rental Vehicles in Another Country. The Barclaycard Arrival Plus rental car insurance covers eligible cardholders for 31 days when renting vehicles in another country. Coverage is primary if your insurance does not cover you in any eligible countries or territories outside of the U.S.
Not All Vehicles Or Incidents Are Covered. The Barclaycard Arrival Plus rental car insurance benefit does not cover vehicles like trucks, pickups, cargo vans, campers, off-road vehicles, RVs, sport utility trucks, motorcycles, antique vehicles or limousines. Barclaycard Arrival Plus Rental Car Insurance Claims
To file a Barclaycard Arrival Plus rental car insurance claim, call the Benefit Administrator at (800) 627-48028372 or visit the card’s benefits website to obtain a claim form. You must report the incident within 60 days. You will then need to submit the claim form, along with any requested supporting documents – such as the rental agreement, the receipt and statement showing the vehicle rental, a copy of your valid driver’s license, relevant police reports – no later than 180 days after the incident.
