The Barclaycard Arrival Plus card required a credit score of 700, at a minimum. That meant applicants needed good credit or better for good approval odds. Unfortunately, the Barclaycard Arrival Plus card is no longer available to new applicants, but there are other options for frequent travelers.
The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card is an excellent alternative for frequent flyers and travelers in general. It offers 80,000 bonus points for spending $4,000 in the first 3 months. And it earns extensive spending-based rewards: 5 points per $1 spent on travel purchased through Chase, 2 points per $1 on all other travel purchases, 3 points per $1 on dining and online grocery purchases, 3 points per $1 on select streaming services, and 1 point per $1 on all other purchases. Plus, you get more flexibility in terms of how you can redeem its rewards. Chase Sapphire Preferred also requires good credit or better (a score of 700+) for approval.
