The best balance transfer credit cards with rewards are the Discover it Balance Transfer card and the Capital One Quicksilver card, because they both offer 0% APR for at least 15 months on balance transfers paired with a 3% balance transfer fee, and they both offer above-average cash back rewards that won't lose value. On top of that, neither card charges an annual fee.
The Discover it Balance Transfer card's 18-month 0% APR period on balance transfers is longer than average, and the card offers 5% cash back on rotating quarterly categories like gas and grocery stores, up to a quarterly maximum. You will have to register every quarter, though. Past that, it gives 1% back on all other purchases. It has a nice anniversary perk, too: Discover doubles all cash back earned in the first year, automatically, with no limits.
The Capital One Quicksilver card offers 0% for 15 months on balance transfers. It's a shorter period than the Discover it Balance Transfer card, but you won't have to sign up for the card's steady cash back rate of 1.5% Cash Back on all purchases—no category stipulations.
