Some people might say the best credit card for a Disney vacation is the Disney Premier Credit Card from Chase. You get a $200 statement credit for spending $500 in the first 3 months. And you earn 2% in Disney Rewards Dollars at gas stations, restaurants and Disney locations, plus 1% everywhere else. You can redeem those points for Disney stays, too. There’s also the Disney Rewards Credit Card, which has lower rewards rates but no annual fee. Both Disney credit cards give you 10% off Disney merchandise purchases of $50 or more, 15% off guided tours and a 0% APR on purchases for 6 months.
But you don’t need a Disney-branded credit card to make a Disney vacation as cheap as possible. If you spend at least $1,000 per month and have good or excellent credit, the best credit card for your Disney vacation will be Capital One Venture or Chase Sapphire Preferred. Both offer at least 2.5 times bigger signup bonuses than the Disney cards.
Here are the best credit cards for a Disney vacation:
- Disney Premier Credit Card: $200 statement credit when you spend $500 in the first 3 months. 2% back in Disney Rewards Dollars at gas stations, restaurants and Disney locations (1% back everywhere else). 10% off Disney merchandise purchases of $50 or more. 15% off guided tours. 0% APR on purchases for 6 months. $49 annual fee. Good credit needed.
- Disney Rewards Credit Card: $50 statement credit after your first purchase. 1% back in Disney Rewards Dollars on all purchases. 10% off Disney merchandise purchases of $50 or more. 15% off guided tours. 0% APR on purchases for 6 months. No annual fee. Good credit needed.
- Capital One Venture: 50,000 miles when you spend $3,000 in the first 3 months, worth $500 in travel. 10 miles per $1 spent at hotels.com/venture, and 2 miles per $1 on all other purchases. No annual fee the first year, $95 after. Good credit needed.
- Chase Sapphire Preferred: 50,000 points when you spend $4,000 in the first 3 months, worth $625 in travel through Chase Ultimate Rewards. 2 points per $1 spent on travel and dining and 1 point per $1 on everything else. No annual fee the first year, $95 after. Excellent credit needed.
If you’re looking to rack up a lot of rewards that you can use for any part of your Disney experience, one of the Disney co-branded cards is one way to go. They do give you Disney-specific perks. But if you’re a fairly big-spender, you can save more overall with one of the best travel rewards cards. Most people need to travel a pretty long way to get to Disney parks, and you can use the money you save on that for more Disney fun.

There are obviously the Disney branded credit cards, but I think the best one is actually the Chase Sapphire Reserve, as it's a great travel credit card.
