I like the Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express. It has a lot of valuable redemptions within the SPG program, and you can transfer points to their partners, including Marriott.

If I were you, I'd look towards IHG: they've got so many hotels under their umbrella, you're bound to stumble onto one of them.
