The best Marriott credit card is the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless™ Credit Card from Chase. This card gets you 75,000 points when you spend $3,000 in your first 3 months. You’ll earn six points for every $1 spent at participating Marriott-owned hotels and 2 points per $1 on all other purchases.
If you prefer a non-hotel specific rewards card, the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card gives you 60,000 points when you spend $4,000 in your first 3 months. Through Chase’s partnership with Marriott, you can transfer these points to a Marriott Rewards account at a 1:1 ratio. But you might not want to do that, since Marriott points are worth about 1.12 cents each and the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card’s points can be worth up to 1.25 cents through Chase Ultimate Rewards. This card also gets you 2 points per $1 spent on dining and travel purchases and 1 on all other purchases.

The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless™ Credit Card. It's best for Marriott hotels, and it has a sign-up bonus.

If you absolutely need a Marriott -branded card, the safest bet is the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless™ Credit Card. However, I feel that a better option is the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card. The rewards can be redeemed for multiple hotels and flights. Just for that flexibility alone, I'd go for the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card. You need excellent or good credit for both cards.
