Your Amex Blue Cash Everyday approval odds if you have a credit score of 700+ (good credit). Your approval odds will also be influenced by your annual income and existing debts. In addition, applicants will need to be 18+ years old with a U.S. mailing address and a Social Security Number or an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number.
The best way to check your Amex Blue Cash Everyday approval odd is to use the Amex pre-qualification tool online. Pre-qualification does not guarantee you’ll be approved, but it does indicate you have high approval odds. Another good way to gauge your Amex Blue Cash Everyday approval odds is to check your credit score before applying.
Ways to check your Amex Blue Cash Everyday approval odds:
- You can check for Amex Blue Cash Everyday pre-qualification online. Go to Amex’s pre-qualified offers page, enter your contact information and the last four digits of your Social Security Number. Then, click the “View my Offers” button to see if you’re pre-approved. If you are pre-qualified, it means American Express has done a soft inquiry on your credit and thinks you are likely to get approved.
Your Amex Blue Cash Everyday approval odds should be pretty similar to your odds with other American Express credit cards. - You can check your credit score. Credit card applications can temporarily damage your credit score. So, it’s best to know where you’re situated before applying. Amex Blue Cash Everyday requires good credit for approval, so make sure you meet that requirement.
- Apply for the card. When applying for Amex Blue Cash Everyday, a soft inquiry will be made on your credit report and you will be told with certainty if you are approved. However, if you are approved and choose to accept the offer afterward, Amex will do a hard pull, which may result in a small drop in your score.*
If your application is denied, you can request a reconsideration by calling American Express at (800) 567-1083 at least 30 days after denial. That’s basically a chance to explain yourself and correct any errors related to your application. Also, if you think your credit score needs improving, consider some tips to address just that.
*This limited-time new application experience is currently available for individuals applying for a U.S. personal card via WalletHub, on the American Express site, or by calling American Express and is not available if you apply for a card after you log into an existing Card Member Account.

Be sure to know what your credit score is, and then check for pre-qualification. That should give you some estimate.
