To cancel your Macy's Store card, call the customer service department at 877-493-9207 and tell the representative to cancel your account effective immediately.

Lastly, provide the representative with any requested information to confirm your identity, such as your Social Security number and date of birth.

It is always a good idea to cancel the card or to get any important decisions in writing. That way if the person responsible for noting the changes makes a mistake, or does not do what you have asked, you have a record of the request and the date that request was made. If it involved a decision by the credit card issuer, you also have that answer in writing. CASH MAY BE KING, BUT ABSOLUTE PROOF IS SOMETIMES NEEDED!!
