Chase has metal credit card offers for several types of applicants: The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card for bonus travel rewards at a reasonable cost, the Chase Sapphire Reserve® for luxury travel perks at a high cost, and the J.P. Morgan Reserve Credit Card for Chase’s high-net-worth banking clients. There are more Chase metal cards co-branded with popular hotels and airlines, too, including the IHG® Rewards Club Premier Credit Card.

Chase has more metal credit cards than any other issuer (Amex is up there too). All of Chase’s metal credit card offers require at least good credit for approval, and some you need excellent credit to get.

Citi’s metal credit card is the Citi Prestige Card. It has been available in metal since August 2017. Citi Prestige is the best Citi metal card because it’s the only one available right now. It also happens to have a ton of rewards and luxury perks. They’re necessary, however, as Citi Prestige charges a $495 annual fee. The new Citi Prestige metal card offers $500 in travel for spending $4,000 in the first 3 months. The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card has an at least “good” credit score as a requirement. Card applicants with slightly lower scores might be able to get approved, depending on factors such as disposable income, but a “good” or “excellent” credit score is needed for the best approval odds. Keep in mind that the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card credit score requirement isn’t the only pre-requisite for approval. Things like how much you make and how much you owe are important, too. That’s why it’s possible to get approved with a lower credit score or rejected with a higher one.
