When you call, you will need to verify your identity. Provide either your SSN or the application ID number. This is the number you received when you submitted the application. Once your information is verified, you’ll receive an application status update. Capital One does not offer an online tool to check your secured credit card status.
You can check your Capital One Secured status whether you applied online or by phone. You’re able to call as early as the day after you submitted the application. You will receive a written decision from Capital One by mail within 7 to 10 business days of your application. If you’re approved, your card will arrive 7 to 10 business days after Capital One gets your security deposit.
You can also check the status of your deposit, whether it’s a payment or a pending refund. Simply call the customer service at (800) 227-4825 or log in to your online account to live chat with a customer service representative.
