Is there a Capital One Venture referral bonus?

The Capital One Venture referral bonus is $100, up to $500 a year, for every friend who is approved for the Venture card. The bonus, however, is available only to select Venture cardholders. To check for eligibility, log in to the Venture online page. From the account summary page, click “I Want To.” Under the “Benefits and Rewards” menu, click “Refer a Friend.” Eligible cardholders should see a link to share with people they’d like to refer. In addition, some Venture cardholders report receiving an e-mail offer from Capital One with the referral link. Capital One not does disclose the criteria it uses to determine a cardholder’s eligibility to participate in the referral program.

You can share the referral link with friends by e-mail, with a text message or on social media. To earn the bonus, the referral must submit an application using the link you provided. You can share the referral link with as many friends as you want, but you’ll only receive the bonus on the first five referrals who are approved for the Venture card. There’s also no bonus if a referral is approved for a Capital One card other than Venture. Denied applications will not earn a referral bonus, but they won’t count against your annual referral limit.
