The Capital One Venture card travel insurance benefits include travel accident insurance, lost luggage reimbursement, rental car insurance, and more. For Capital One products listed on this page, some of the above benefits are provided by Visa® or Mastercard® and may vary by product. See the respective Guide to Benefits for details, as terms and exclusions apply. These benefits are covered by the card’s $95 annual fee and kick in automatically when you pay for travel with the card. You just have to submit a claim if a covered event occurs.
Capital One Venture Travel Insurance Benefits
- Travel accident insurance: This benefit covers up to $250,000 for death or dismemberment caused by travel companies, including airlines, trains and buses. Cardholders, their spouses and any dependents younger than age 18 are covered. For an incident to be eligible for coverage, you must have paid the entire fare with your Capital One Venture card or miles.
- Lost luggage reimbursement: If your bags are lost by a travel provider or get stolen, you can get reimbursed for up to $3,000 per trip. This applies to both you and immediate family. But you must pay for the ticket(s) and any baggage fees with the Capital One Venture card to be eligible. Excluded items include art objects, animals, vehicles, sporting equipment, furniture, and cell phones.
- Auto rental collision damage waiver: You’re insured for collision damage and theft when you rent certain types of vehicles with your Capital One Venture card. Capital One will pay up to the cash value of the vehicle. Notable exceptions include expensive and exotic cars, vans, motorcycles, trucks and limousines.
- Travel Emergency Services: This benefit provides referrals for medical and legal assistance, arranges for emergency transportation, and helps change travel reservations. Service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Capital One Venture cardholders are responsible for the cost of any goods or services provided.
- Roadside Dispatch: 24/7 hotline for services such as towing (up to five miles), tire changes, jump starts, fuel delivery, and lockout assistance (no key replacement). There is a $59.95 fee per service call.
Exclusions and coverage limits apply to many of these benefits, so make sure to check your Capital One Venture’s guide to benefits for more details on each type of insurance.

It's pretty good, standard issue CDW, lost luggage and travel accident. Nothing special, like trip cancellation.

Travel accident insurance is decent (they offer it on all credit cards they issue). With the Venture you will also receive access to lost luggage protections as well. Unfortunately, your card will not provide users with trip cancellation insurance. Therefore, if your flight is canceled by the carrier or you suffer from some sort of emergency that will cause you to miss a flight, Capital One will not reimburse you for your trouble.
Did we answer your question?
Are we sure these benefits are valid for the Capital One Venture? Other than this (and similar) posts I can't find a shred of evidence these benefits exist for the Venture card. It is not mentioned under "Card Benefits" on my Venture account. It is not mentioned on the terms packet I got with my Venture card. The "benefit guide" above links to a different (not "Venture") card. I have to assume no unless I see Capital One say somewhere that theses benefits exist.
