The Chase Freedom Flex extended warranty adds 1 year to an existing U.S. manufacturer’s warranty for eligible items bought with the Freedom Flex card. The existing warranty must be for 3 years or fewer, and the coverage is up to $10,000 per claim and $50,000 per account.
As of November 2020, Chase doesn’t seem to have a detailed guide to the Chase Freedom Flex extended warranty benefit online. But assuming it operates like the same policy on other Chase credit cards, there will be multiple exceptions to the coverage. Some typical exclusions are computer software, motorized vehicles, pre-owned items, items purchased for commercial use and more.
The usual process to make an extended warranty claim with a Chase credit card is to contact the Benefit Administrator within 90 days of the item’s failure, then submit a claim form and any supplemental documents within 120 days of the item’s failure. But be sure to check the benefits guide you receive from Chase to see the exact details of filing a Chase Freedom Flex extended warranty claim.
