How does Chase Freedom Flex's extended warranty work?

Chase Freedom’s extended warranty adds 1 year to U.S. manufacturer’s warranties of 3 years or less on items purchased with this card. It provides coverage up to $10,000 per claim and $50,000 per account.

What Chase Freedom’s extended warranty covers:

The Chase Freedom extended warranty benefit is valuable. But there are a few restrictions on when and how you can use it. For starters, the warranty must be written by a U.S.-based company. How to file a claim:

To make a claim, notify the Chase Benefit Administrator within 90 days from when the item fails. The number is (800) 874-7702. Then, submit the claim form and all requested documents within 120 days of the item’s failure. Chase will reimburse you or pay to have your item repaired within 5 business days of receiving all your materials if your claim is approved.

Chase Freedom’s extended warranty coverage is secondary to any other extended warranty you might have on an item. So, you must make a claim with the primary source first. Then, let Chase know how much you received. You may be eligible for additional compensation. If you don’t have any other extended warranty on the item, you can go to Chase immediately.
