The Chase Freedom Unlimited extended warranty benefit adds 1 year to items with U.S. manufacturer warranties of 3 years or fewer. It covers items up to $10,000 per claim and $50,000 per account. The cardholder must purchase an item with a Chase Freedom Unlimited card for it to be eligible. Motorized vehicles, computer software, resale items and others are not eligible. The benefits guide has a complete list of excluded items.
Here’s how to file a claim:
To file a claim, call (800) 874-7702 within 90 days of when the item stops working. Chase will send you a claim form. Return the claim form, receipts and requested documents within 120 days of the item’s failure. The address is:
Card Benefit Services
P.O. Box 72034
Richmond, VA 23255
Once Chase verifies the claim, it will either repair or replace the item. If Chase opts to replace the damaged item, they will send you a check for the item’s original purchase price, up to the $10,000 limit. If Chase decides to repair the item rather than replace it, they will direct you to send it to an authorized repair facility and will reimburse you for the cost of the repair, less shipping and handling charges.
