There are two ways to get your Chase Sapphire Reserve activated: Online and over the phone at (888) 489-7249.
To do it online, go to the Chase card verification page and enter your login information. If you don’t have a user ID and password yet, click “Sign up now.” Once you’re logged in, you’ll see an option to activate a new card. To activate Chase Sapphire Reserve by phone, call Chase and enter your card number.
That’s the activation process, in general. But there are a few more specifics you should be aware of.
Here’s how to activate Chase Sapphire Reserve:
- Log into your account on the Chase activation webpage, or call (888) 489-7249 and enter your card number when prompted. You may also be asked security questions to verify your identity.
- Your new card should arrive 7-10 business days after you’re approved for an account.
- You can begin using your Chase Sapphire Reserve immediately after activating it.
- If you don’t activate your card within 6 months, your account will be automatically closed.
- There are some reports online of people receiving pre-activated Chase Sapphire Reserve cards. Such cards supposedly don’t have the standard sticker with activation instructions on them. If you receive a card with no sticker, you’ll want to call Chase customer service just to make sure it didn’t fall off or get left off by mistake.
