To use Chase Sapphire Reserve to book a cruise, visit Chase Ultimate Rewards and log in to your online account, then click the “Earn / Use” tab followed by the “Travel” icon. From the travel menu, open the “Cruises” tab and either scroll through the selected cruise packages or manually search for an offer by destination or the name of the cruise line.
Once you’ve selected a cruise, you will need to call a Chase Travel Specialist at 1 (866) 951-6592 to book the trip. Chase Travel hours are 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturdays. The specialist will guide you through the cruise line page to help book your accommodations. Once you’ve set up your itinerary, the specialist will ask how many points how you want to apply against the final balance. You should see your points balance at the top of the page.
You can apply some or all of your Chase Sapphire Reserve points toward the cost of a cruise, at a value of 1.5 cents each. If you don’t have enough points to cover the entire cost of the cruise, you can charge the remaining balance to your Sapphire Reserve card and earn 3 points for every $1 you spend on the booking. Remember that Sapphire Reserve also comes with a $300 annual travel credit, which you can use to help pay for your cruise. And if you book a cruise using the Reserve card, you’ll be covered by the card’s substantial travel insurance.
