You will not have to pay retroactive interest after the Chase Slate 0% APR period ends. Only the balance that you carry beyond the end of the 0% period will incur interest. And that interest will accrue at an annual rate that could vary, depending on your overall creditworthiness.
Retroactive interest tends to be an issue only with store-affiliated credit cards, meaning that if you pay one of your monthly bills a day late during the 0% period or you don’t repay the full amount owed by the end of the intro term, interest will retroactively apply to your entire original purchase amount at the card’s regular rate, like the 0% offer never existed.

You're thinking of deferred interest, and that's only when you get financing through store cards. The intro 0% periods, for transfers as well as purchases, are just that. No interest for that period.
