To add a Citi Custom Cash authorized user, log in to your online account and click the “Services” tab, or call customer service at 1 (800) 950-5114. You will need to provide the person's full name, date of birth and address to add them as an authorized user.
A primary cardholder can make anyone a Citi Custom Cash authorized user, as there are no minimum age requirements. There is a limit of 10 authorized users allowed on the account, though.
How to Add a Citi Custom Cash Authorized User Online
Log in to your Citi Custom Cash card account.
- Click the “Services” tab.
- Click “Authorized users” under the “Card Management” menu.
- Enter the user’s full name, address and date of birth.
- Click “Add.”
When you add a Citi Custom Cash authorized user, they will receive their own credit card, sent to your mailing address, within 7-10 days of being added to the account. The authorized user’s credit card will be linked to your account and will have full access to the account’s credit limit. Citibank authorized users are able to make purchases, earn rewards, report lost or stolen cards, initiate billing disputes, request statement copies, make payments, access the account online and inquire about fees. However, they cannot close the account, add another authorized user, increase the credit line, or request a lower APR.
In addition, any purchases an authorized user makes on the account will appear on your statement, and as the primary cardholder, you are responsible for all purchases on the account. Citibank reports account information to all three of the major credit bureaus, which affects not only the user’s credit history, but also the primary cardholder’s. Authorized users may be removed from an account at the user’s or primary cardholder’s request at any time, and for any reason.
