You cannot get a Citi Double Cash $200 bonus. As of January 2019, the Double Cash card is offering a limited-time $100 initial bonus. The offer is open to people who apply in-branch at participating Citi locations. Once approved, a cardholder must spend $500 in the first 3 months with the account to earn the bonus.
Initial bonuses are not among the Citi Double Cash card’s standard features. There have been other limited-time sign-up bonus offers before, though. Targeted e-mail offers have ranged from $100 to $200 for applicants who met specific spending requirements after approval. And in 2019, Citi Double Cash offered a $150 bonus after spending $500 in the first three months. That offer expired by June of that year.
There is no Citi Double Cash signup bonus. In March 2018, Citi Double Cash had a $100 bonus for spending $500 within 3 months of applying on Citi.com. But that promotion is over now, and it only lasted a few months. Citi Double Cash doesn’t usually have a signup bonus because it has a higher ongoing rewards rate than other cash back credit cards. You need an excellent credit score to get approved for the Citi® Double Cash Card – 18 month BT offer. That means applicants need a credit score of 750 or higher for good approval odds.
