The best Citi Double Cash promotion is an introductory APR of 0% for 18 months on balance transfers, which allows cardholders to move high-interest debt to the Double Cash card and pay it down interest-free. Double Cash offers a long promotional period compared to most other credit cards, but it does have a balance transfer fee of 3% (min $5). Double Cash also gives 2% cash back on every purchase: 1% cash back when you buy and an additional 1% when you pay the bill. And a $0 annual fee rounds out the best Citi Double Cash card promotions.
The Double Cash card does not come with an introductory APR for new purchases, nor is there a sign-up bonus promotion for new cardmembers. But Citi does roll out limited-time Double Cash promotions from time to time. One ongoing targeted mail and online offer is for 2.5% cash back on the Double Cash card (1.5% cash back when you buy, 1% when you pay) when you open a Citi Priority Banking package, which includes a Citi checking account and/or a savings account.
Double Cash cardholders may also receive a targeted promotion that offers 25% cash back for a limited time, plus additional cash bonuses ranging from $200 to $1,500. To get these deals, cardholders must open select checking account packages and meet minimum deposit and balance requirements.
Past Citi Double Cash promotions offered sign-up bonuses ranging from $100 to $200 for spending $500 within the first three months of the approval date. There’s no indication when, or if, these promotions will be offered again.
