The Citi Premier Card does not have travel insurance anymore, after Citi removed all travel insurance coverage from the Premier Card and most other Citi cards in 2019. Citi Premier used to offer insurance for travel accidents, trip cancellation or interruption, trip delays, baggage delays, lost bags and rental cars. Unfortunately, all of those benefits are no longer available.
Despite the fact that Citi Premier lacks travel insurance now, it’s still a good travel credit card. It offers 3 points per $1 spent on air travel and hotels, and has a 0% foreign transaction fee.
But if you’re looking for a card that has travel insurance coverage, there are plenty of options from other issuers. You could consider Chase Sapphire Preferred, Wells Fargo Visa Signature, or Capital One Venture, to name a few.
