The Citi Premier credit card does not have travel insurance anymore, after Citi removed all travel insurance coverage from the Citi Premier and most other Citi cards in 2019. Citi Premier used to offer insurance for travel accidents, trip cancellation or interruption, trip delays, baggage delays, lost bags, and rental cars. Unfortunately, all those benefits are no longer available.
Even though Citi Premier lacks travel insurance, it’s still a good travel credit card. It offers 3 points / $1 spent on air travel and hotels and has a 0% foreign transaction fee.
But if you’re looking for a card that has travel insurance coverage, there are plenty of options from other issuers. You could consider Chase Sapphire Preferred, USAA Rewards Visa, or Capital One Venture, to name a few.
