Yes, the Citi Simplicity Card does offer the True Name perk, which is a feature that lets credit card users choose the first name that appears on their cards. It is meant for nonbinary and transgender people, and other members of the LGBTQIA+ community whose preferred or chosen name doesn't match their legal name.

You can select a preferred name for your Citi Simplicity Card through your online account or by calling customer service at (866) 696-5673. Just keep in mind that this service is not available at account-opening.

How to Select a Citi Simplicity Card Preferred Name Online

Log in to your Citibank online account.
Go to “Profile” and then to “Contact Information.”
Enter the first name you go by and click save.

You can choose any name for your Citi Simplicity Card as long as it’s not longer than 11 characters and it does not contain numbers, symbols or profanity.

Once you’ve selected a name, you can request a replacement card with your new name on it through your online account, or by calling customer service. The replacement card should arrive at the address on file in 4-7 business days.
