Does the Petal 1 Card report to credit bureaus?

You are legally entitled to three free credit reports each year: one from each of the three major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion). You can order these free credit reports through the government-sponsored Annual Credit Report program online, by calling 1-877-322-8228, or by mailing a request form. You’ll get your credit reports immediately through an online request, while the other two methods require you to wait 15 days from when your request is received.

In addition to the three free credit reports you are legally entitled to each year, you can get an unlimited number of free reports from one of the free credit report websites not sponsored by the government. These sites give free reports from one or two of the major bureaus, and most update their info on a weekly or monthly basis.

To get approved for a Petal card, you are required to have a valid email address, a U.S. telephone number, and a Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number. Applicants must also be at least 18 years old and a permanent resident of the United States or a U.S. military location. Minimum Petal Card Requirements for Approval

1. 18+ years old
2. U.S. mailing address
3. SSN or ITIN
4. At least limited/fair credit
5. Enough income to pay bills
6. Low debt compared to income
7. Valid email address
8. Valid U.S. telephone number
9. No bankruptcy in the past 48 months
10. No open Petal card account
11. No prior applications for a Petal card

You may be required to provide a U.S. or foreign government-issued photo ID, or to link a U.S. bank account if your credit profile does not provide enough information for Petal to make a decision. If they do ask for your bank account information, Petal will generate a “Cash Score” when they review your banking history. This will help them determine whether you have enough disposable income to pay your credit card bills.

Finally, it’s worth noting that Petal will automatically conduct a soft pull on your credit in the beginning of the application process to see if you could qualify for one of their cards. While pre-approval never guarantees approval, it will bode well for your approval odds.
