There are no guaranteed approval student credit cards. You'll always have to meet some criteria to get approved for a credit card, such as a certain credit score or minimum income.
The best option for students is a credit card without an annual fee that helps them build credit by reporting to the major credit bureaus (TransUnion, Experian and Equifax) on a monthly basis. If they can score some rewards along the way, that's just the cherry on top.
Here are the best ones:
- Deserve EDU Mastercard for Students with free Amazon Prime Student after spending $500 in the first 3 months, 1% cash back and $600 cell phone protection
- Journey Student Rewards from Capital One offering 1% cash back on all purchases and 25% bonus if you pay your bill by the due date
Students can apply for these cards with a limited credit history.
