The rewards earned with the BB&T Spectrum Rewards Card can be redeemed for items posted on the BB&T Spectrum Rewards Program website at BBT.com. Rewards may also be redeemed by calling the BB&T Rewards Center at 800-778-1721. You can redeem cash rewards as a statement credit to your account or mailed to you in the form of a check, and for gift certificates. Members may also redeem rewards for airline travel.
This cannot be done "automatically." You have two choices: call them (BBT) at (800) 810-4286 and their rep will do it for you or go to your BBT online account and redeem your rewards by following their ridiculously convoluted process. If you have, for example, $250 in rewards coming to you, you must first order 2 $100 redemptions and then start over and choose two $25 redemptions --and then submit your order once all "items" (i.e. cash amounts) are in your cart. Whoever thought up this absurb payment protocol needs to seriously rethink it.
