HSBC offers price protection on the HSBC Elite Credit Card. The price protection benefit reimburses the difference between the price originally paid for an item and a lower sale price advertised by any retailer within 60 days of the purchase date.
The cardholder must have paid for the item entirely using an eligible HSBC card or rewards earned with the card to be covered. The coverage has a limit of $250 per item, with an annual limit of $1,000 per account. HSBC price protection does not cover certain items, such as items purchased for resale, rental, professional, or commercial use.
To file a HSBC price protection claim, call the Benefit Administrator at 1-800-307-7309 or visit the card benefits website and request a claim form within 120 days of when the lower price was first advertised. Then, submit the form and any other required documents, such as a copy of the advertisement, a receipt and a statement showing the item was purchased, and an itemized purchase receipt, within 180 days of when the advertisement’s publication. Refer to your benefits guide for complete details.
