The latest Hyatt credit card promotions include 60,000 bonus points for spending $6,000 in the first 6 months, 1-2 free night certificates each account anniversary, and up to 9 points for every $1 spent at Hyatt hotels and resorts.
All of those Hyatt credit card promotions are for the World of Hyatt Credit Card, which replaced the old Hyatt Credit Card in XX. The old Hyatt card is no longer available to new applicants. Current cardholders can keep it or upgrade to the World of Hyatt card.
Here is more information on the Hyatt credit card promotion:
· Initial bonus:40,000 points when you spend $3,000 in your first 3 months. Plus, an additional 20,000 points if you spend $6,000 in the first 6 months.
· Annual free night: One free night at a category 1-4 Hyatt hotel or resort after each account anniversary. Earn an additional free night when you spend $15,000 during an anniversary year.
· Status level upgrade:Automatic bump to Discoverist, World of Hyatt’s second membership level. Benefits include expedited check-in, late checkout and preferred room upgrades upon arrival (when available).
· Rewards points:4 points per $1 spent at Hyatt (9 per $1 with a World of Hyatt loyalty program membership). 2 points per $1 spent on dining, airline tickets, local transit and gym memberships. 1 per $1 for all other purchases.
The World of Hyatt card has a $95 annual fee, a $20 increase over its predecessor. It also no longer offers price protection or return protection benefits. But it does come with other benefits such as trip cancellation insurance. There is no foreign transaction fee.
Owners of the old Hyatt Credit Card will not be automatically upgraded to the World of Hyatt card. There’s no web site yet to upgrade online, but you can call 1-800-436-7941 and request an upgrade. You won’t be eligible for the 40,000 - 60,000-point initial bonus. You will, however, receive 2,000 bonus points for upgrading.
If you choose not to upgrade, your annual fee will remain at $75. And you’ll continue to get one free night certificate each anniversary.
