There are no laws stating that you must show ID when using your Home Depot Credit Card, but merchants may require some form of identification for security purposes if your card is not signed on the back.

Effective 2016 Hime depot requires u show ID w all card purchases. In addition, if you return an item without the receipt you are given the refund on a Home Depot store credit /gift card. That part is not new . What is new is that they tag the card w whoever returned the items name & only that person can use the card to purchase diff item and mussr show is when using the store credit
