Chase Freedom Unlimited® is a Visa Signature card for some cardholders, as was the Chase Freedom® card, which is no longer available to new applicants. Chase Freedom’s replacement card, Chase Freedom Flex℠, is issued on the Mastercard credit card network.
Visa Signature is one of three benefit tiers the Visa network makes available for Visa credit cards. Signature cards may come with features and perks not available on traditional Platinum Visa cards, like extended warranty protection, lost luggage reimbursement, and travel accident insurance, among others. It’s important to note, however, that credit card issuers such as Chase ultimately decide which benefits are included on a particular Visa card.
You should also know that if you apply for a Chase Freedom Unlimited® card and are approved, your credit profile and the information you provide on your application will determine whether you will receive a Visa Signature card or a Visa Platinum card. The stronger your overall application is, the more likely you are to be approved for a Signature account, which comes with a significantly higher minimum credit limit than the Platinum version.
