It is not very hard to get a Capital One business credit card because options are available for business owners with limited personal credit or better. The easiest Capital One business credit card to get is Capital One Spark Classic for Business, which is available to applicants with less than 3 years of credit history. Depending on your personal credit history, you may be able to qualify for other Capital One business credit cards, too.
Minimum Credit Requirements for Popular Capital One Business Credit Cards
- Capital One Spark Classic for Business: Limited History
- Spark Cash Select for Good Credit: Good credit
- Capital One Spark Miles Select for Business: Good credit
- Spark Cash Select for Excellent Credit: Excellent credit
Just like with personal credit cards, you’ll need to have a steady income and be at least 18 years old to qualify for an account. You’ll also need a Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number. Capital One will check your personal credit history if you apply for one of its business credit cards, and will require a personal guarantee. This means you’re personally liable for any credit card debt the business is unable to pay back.
It's important to note that while it’s not hard to get some Capital One business credit cards, that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re easy to get. You’re also never guaranteed to be approved, even for the Capital One business credit cards with the easiest approval requirements.
