You can qualify for the Matrix Credit Card with bad or even very bad credit. With that said, there is an unsecured version as well as a secured one. All applications for the card are initially reviewed for the unsecured one, but you may be ultimately approved for a card with a $50, $150 or $500 refundable security deposit.
Unfortunately, it's impossible to determine if you qualify for the unsecured version with a $500 limit or the secured version before submitting an application. Moreover, the issuer will take your income and existing debt obligations into account, along with your credit rating.
