There is one Merrill business card, the Merrill Rewards for Business Visa Signature Card. A co-branded business card issued by Bank of America, it offers 1 point per $1 spent on all purchases. Points are worth 1.5 cents each. When you’ve earned a minimum of 3,000 points, you’ll be eligible to receive rewards in the form of a check or a direct deposit into an eligible Bank of America or Merrill Edge account. The card has no annual fee.
The Merrill Rewards for Business Visa Signature card stacks up favorably against other BofA business cards in some categories. However, it lags far behind on others. It requires excellent credit in order to be approved, the same as all other Bank of America business credit cards. But there’s no initial bonus or low introductory APR, and it offers far less in rewards.
One good alternative is the Bank of America Business Advantage Travel Rewards card, which offers 3 points per $1 spent on travel booked through the Bank of America Travel Center and1.5 on all other purchases. There’s also a bonus of 30,000 points when you spend $1,000 in the first 60 days. Similarly, the Business Advantage Cash Rewards card gives 1-3% cash back on select purchases and has a $300 bonus for spending $500 in the first 60 days.
